  • Love Potion - a very pretty bright pink UV color changer, that changes from pink to purple when the UV rays hit it. Love Potion also glows red when the lights go out, to represent what happens when the lights go out...😉 Aphrodite is known to be able to make 2 people fall in love. The color pink represents like and romance, and the color purple is a combination of stability from blue, and passion from red. Purple can also represent sexually deprived, or sexual frustration... which still fits here, as Aphrodite is the goddess of all things related to pleasure.
  • Beautiful Girl - a gorgeous chrome dark lavender. This color chromes effortlessly over itself (gel and UV lamp is necessary for the chrome effect). While purple can mean sexual frustration (as well as a combination of stability and passion), lavender represents beauty and femininity. Aphrodite was the goddess of beauty, and was the monarch of feminine beauty.
  • Aphrodite - an orange base with red, pink and purple foil. Orange is the color that represents fertility, red represents lust and passion, pink is for like, beauty and romance, and purple is for sexual frustration, a combination of stability and passion, and beauty and femininity.

(Chrome dip powders cost us more to make, that is the reason for the price difference between the 3 powder collections)

The Story of Aphrodite
Aphrodite was the goddess of sexual love, beauty, and fertility. She was known primarily as a goddess of pleasure and procreation, but she occasionally presided over marriages. She was married to the smith god Hephaestus (god of forges and fire, who was born crippled and ugly), but she spent her time philandering with the handsome god of war, Ares. Aphrodite was married to Hephaestus when he trapped his mother Hera, on Mount Olympus for her treatment of him, and Zeus offered Aphrodite in marriage to whomever could bring Hephaestus to him. Aphrodite believed her beloved Ares would prevail, so she agreed to the terms. When Ares ultimately failed, Dionysus, the god of wine, suggested to Hephaestus that he take Aphrodite as his own wife if he released his mother willingly. Aphrodite and Ares continued their adulterous relationship, and Hephaestus eventually divorced Aphrodite because of it.
Aphrodite's first love was Nerites, a young sea-god. When he refused to leave the sea and join her on Mount Olympus, Aphrodite turned him into a shellfish for his betrayal. In addition to Hephaestus and Ares, she is also known to have short love affairs with the gods Dionysus, Poseidon and Hermes. As punishment for Aphrodite's promiscuity, Hera cursed her to bear an ugly child with Dionysus, their son Priapus.
Aphrodite played a huge part in the Trojan War. At the wedding of Peleus and Thetis, Eris (goddess of strife) offered a golden apple for the most beautiful goddess. Hera, Athena and Aphrodite all vied for the honor. Zeus appointed Paris as the judge to decide. To influence his decision, Athena offered Paris strength and invisibility, Hera offered him the regions of Asia and Europe, and Aphrodite offered him the most beautiful woman in the world. Paris chose Aphrodite's offer, and Helen of Troy fell in love with him.
Her main powers catered towards love and desire, which allowed her to easily seduce any person of her choosing. She was also equipped with a magical belt that allowed the wearer to cause others to fall in love with them. Aphrodite could also cause arguing couples to fall in love with each other again and become attracted to each other.
Aphrodite was the goddess of sexual love, beauty and fertility, and was considered by some to be the most beautiful goddess, as she symbolized feminine beauty. She was often depicted nude, and could seduce men to her pleasing. She lived on Mount Olympus as one of the 12 Olympians.
